There's a ton of stuff that you can do right now to connect with nature and work to protect it!
There's a super cool and easy Green Team-y thing you can do while sitting at home with a computer during the coronavirus break! You can help conservation scientists sift through data that will help protect endangered species, monitor the impacts of climate change, and much more. You can also see really cool pictures of wildlife while you're at it, and you might even be the first person in the world to see some of these pictures!
Here's how you can participate:
1. Go to https://www.zooniverse.org/
2. Click "Register" in the top right and go through the registration steps
3. Once you're in, click "Projects" in the top left
4. Choose a project that you care about! We recommend the Penguin Watch, the eMammal project (which includes local PNW wildlife!), the Skink Spotter NZ project, the South Sudan DiversityCam, and any others that interest you!
5. Go through the project's tutorial, look through the Field Guide if there is one, and contact us or Zooniverse if you have any questions
6. Go through the project, see cool pictures, and know that you are helping save wildlife!

Penguins and Otago skinks (a type of lizard from New Zealand) are just some of the animals that you can observe and help protect through Zooniverse!
